Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus Endorses
Jen Benson for State Representative for the 37th Middlesex District
Boston– The Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus announced today that candidate Jen Benson, of Lunenburg, has received the endorsement of the organization’s Political Action Committee for State Representative for the 37th Middlesex District.
“Jen Benson has demonstrated a long term commitment to improving the quality of life in the 37th Middlesex District. Her knowledge, energy, and depth of administrative experience, as well as the high esteem in which she is held, would make her a valued addition to the district and to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts,” said Executive Director Sheila Capone-Wulsin. “We applaud her candidacy and her positions on the issues which the Caucus has been advocating for more than 35 years including equal pay, social justice and reproductive rights.”
Benson resides in Lunenburg with her husband, Brent, and their three children. Jen grew up in Rochester, NH, and received her BA in Art History from Florida Atlantic University. Benson has stated that she would make education a priority issue. As a member and current Chair of the Lunenburg School Committee, Jen has devoted considerable time and effort to the education system in Lunenburg. Ms. Benson would like to continue to advocate for education on the state level. Jen has worked tirelessly to bring the schools and town government together to create a balanced budget for the past five years, while also improving the education and test scores of Lunenburg’s children.
