Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus Endorses
Kate Hogan for State Representative in the 3rd Middlesex District
Boston– The Political Action Committee of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus announced today that it is endorsing candidate Kate Hogan, of Stow, for State Representative for the 3rd Middlesex District.
“Kate Hogan possesses the experience, drive, and command of the issues facing her district, which are critical in this election. She is, by far, the best choice for Representative in the 3rd Middlesex District,” said Executive Director Sheila Capone-Wulsin. “We applaud her candidacy, and we look forward to working with her on our shared agenda for Massachusetts women and families. For more than 35 years, the MWPC has been advocating for equal pay, social justice, and reproductive rights. We are heartened to have an ally in Kate Hogan.”
Kate Hogan, a lifelong Democrat, was raised in West Lynn, Massachusetts and spent many years in Western Massachusetts before settling in the 3rd Middlesex District.
“I am honored to have earned the endorsement of the most respected women’s political organization in our state,” said Hogan. “Their legacy of service has inspired me in the past and will help pave the way for victory in this race.”
Hogan’s personal story is shared by many Massachusetts women. Financial aid and loans were instrumental in enabling this working class young woman to attend the University of Massachusetts. Kate’s own experiences reinforce her belief that children are the hope for a better future, and that their success and achievements depend on a quality and accessible education at all levels of our public school system.
