BOSTON- The Political Action Committee of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus announced today that it is endorsing candidate Pam Richardson, of Framingham, for State Representative for the 6th Middlesex district. Richardson has earned this endorsement since her election in 2006.
“Representative Richardson has continued to be a champion for women’s issues through her support of important legislation. She also serves as a positive role-model and is truly a source of inspiration for young women,” says Executive Director Sheila Capone-Wulsin. Her accomplishments include the recent support of buffer zone legislation to protect a woman’s right to choose and her support of a bill that will improve policy coordination in the education sector. “She is a dedicated public figure and works hard to improve the quality of life for everyone in her district. The MWPC is happy to be supporting such an exceptional woman once again.”
"I am proud to have the endorsement of an organization which focuses on electing women to public office,” said Representative Richardson. “It is extremely important to have women legislators, and I look forward to continuing to be a strong advocate for Framingham and for women on Beacon Hill."
Representative Richardson has continued to serve her community as a member of the Massachusetts Parent Teachers Association, and Framingham START Partnership. She has also served on the Framingham School Committee. Representative Richardson has been appointed to multiple committees such as the Joint Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities, and the After School and Out of School Time Commission where she continues to advocate for her constituents in the 6th Middlesex District.
