Q-Do I need to be a Democrat or Republican?

Q-What does it cost?
A-$60 dollars a year for a general membership. There is also a student/low resource membership available for $25.00 per year.

Q-Aren’t women already getting elected to office?
A-Women comprise 26% of the State Legislature in Massachusetts. However, there has never been a female United States Senator representing us in Washington D.C. and there have only been three Congresswomen – none since 1983 - 20 years ago!

Q-Why should women vote for women candidates?
A- In 2002 the Center for Women’s American Politics and Public Policy (CAWPP) released a study that demonstrated that women legislators, regardless of party, spent more of their efforts and time advocating for issues that are important to women. These include: women’s health, affordable and accessible day care, domestic violence and sexual harassment, as well as issues pertaining to the well-being of children.
