Good Guys Awards
PURPOSE & CRITERIA: Since 1971, the Massachusetts
Women’s Political Caucus has been an advocate for
gaining equal representation for women in all levels of
society. Through the GOOD GUYS AWARDS, MWPC seeks to recognize
men who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment and partnership
in the struggle for women’s equality. These awards
recognize that our goal of attaining parity in politics
and equality in American society can only be reached through
the concerted efforts of men and women in all areas of
professional and personal life. Those that have been honored
understand that men also benefit from advancing women’s
rights. The ultimate goal of the awards is that the “GOOD
GUYS” chosen will continue to serve as role models,
encouraging other men to join them in fostering greater
public awareness of our goals.
“GOOD GUYS” honorees come from all fields
and backgrounds, including business, government, broadcasting,
philanthropy, television, film, and athletics. MWPC seeks
to honor a diverse group of men from all fields, all of
whom have been dedicated to strengthening the position
of women in all sectors of society.
